Located on the edge of the village of
The Leigh, equidistant from Tewkesbury, Cheltenham and
Gloucester, this property provides the ideal position to
easily explore these historic towns as well as the Royal
Forest Of Dean and the beautiful Cotswold countryside.
The village of The Leigh hosts St Catherine's church; this
was the outer church of the ancient monastery based at
nearby Deerhurst where the famous Odda's Chapel is located.
Both the church and the chapel are well worth a visit.
Three quarters of a mile in opposite directions are two
excellent public houses - the Kings Head and the Swan. Both
host real ales and serve superb food. The village shop and
garage (petrol & servicing) are located opposite The Swan at
Coome Hill.
The Old Barn was originally the milking parlour for the farm
and was converted around 1980 into a family home. An annex
was also added which provides the accommodation. It consists
of a large combined sitting room and kitchenette with a twin
en-suite bedroom. These look out onto a part paved grassed
area an original brick built farm barn. Various
farming activities take place throughout the year at the
property so it's not unusual to see tractors and other
machines or to hear horses walking past the window.
Our property is strictly no smoking, and there are car
parking facilities right outside the front door on the paved
area. Pets are not allowed although assistance dogs are
welcome.
